Absolutely perfect location right in the town centre, exceptionally nice staff, everything was really good. Location: the hotel was just off the shore which was a great place, and Montrose Basin. Lucky that it was just a short walk away from New Hong Kong, offering food to go...

Loved the cozy and well-furnished economy double room.
The entrance was awkwardly located at the back, difficult to navigate, especially with luggage. The room had poor ventilation, with windows that only opened an inch, causing it to feel stuffy at times. I also noticed that there was no breakfast option available , quite disappointing.

Is it really that good? My take
Spacious, clean room with beautiful decor took my breath away! Excellent Thai restaurant below, serving scrumptious food and providing local tips for amazing breakfast spots.
Safety hazards from apparent mould issues in some rooms, with a concerning lack of responsiveness to guest complaints.

Linen and beds super clean. That's a plus. Nice to know some parts of the place maintain cleanliness despite other issues.
Main entrance awkwardly located at the back, not suitable for elderly or disabled guests. Multiple complaints about room maintenance with unmade beds and a lack of basic provisions. Tight room doors made entry cumbersome, and there was a concerning amount of condensation on windows, indicating potential upkeep problems.

Spacious and beautifully decorated room
I was even offered an upgrade on arrival for just £10 more! The cleanliness was spot on. Be prepared for the stairs, as it might be a challenge for those who aren't super mobile.
